Over the next twelve years, people continually expressed how much people missed the restaurant’s delectable “home-cooked” meals. In 2014, driven by three significant reasons, they made the bold decision to reopen Shain’s of Maine Restaurant. First and foremost, they aimed to rekindle the spirit of the restaurant by hanging Mom’s portrait back in “her” establishment. Secondly, it was a heartfelt desire for the owner’s Dad to witness the restaurant’s rebirth, even as he confronted a series of health challenges. Lastly, they sought to reignite the community’s experience of Shain’s of Maine Restaurant hospitality, known for its exceptional service and affordable, homestyle meals that all could enjoy.
